Stepping Away From Chess.com

Starting tomorrow, I’ll be stepping away from Chess.com.

I’m beginning a new job, and with life picking up, I won’t have the time or focus to stay active here like I used to.

This decision wasn’t easy. Over the past 18 months, I’ve put a lot into this site, running clubs, being part of the community, and posting daily puzzles (which I’ve done since around mid-May of last year). It’s been something I looked forward to each day, and I’m proud of what I’ve been able to contribute.

That said, I’m not gone completely. I’ll still pop in occasionally to play some games (mainly daily chess) or reply to messages from friends.

To everyone I’ve connected with, thank you. Whether we talked, collaborated, or just crossed paths through a puzzle or forum, I appreciate it.

I don’t know if I’ll be back in a bigger way someday, but I’m glad I got to be part of this.
