Nemo Zhou (also known as Nemsko) became a Woman Grandmaster (WGM) in 2016 at age 16 by achieving her three required norms in successive tournaments that year. As the first Canadian woman to earn the title, her qualification was confirmed in 2017 after she secured a FIDE rating of 2367. 
Key Details in Her Journey:
Rapid Progression: She achieved WIM and WGM norms in 2015-2016 in tournaments held in Kecskemét, Hungary, and Novi Sad, Serbia.
Key Victory: A notable win in her path to the title was against IM Toms Kantāns (2496 rating) at the 2016 Stockholm Chess Challenge.
Accomplishments: Before becoming a WGM, she was a Women's Under-14 World Youth Champion.
Career Shift: Following her WGM title, she transitioned into a prominent career as a chess streamer for CLG (now NRG) and content creator, often focusing on making chess fun and accessible. 
She has represented the Canadian Olympic team four times (2014, 2016, 2018, 2020).
