The Best Upcoming Movies: 2024 ( PLUS STAR WARS )
SO MANY movies are coming out this year that look AWESOME. ( Some look trash like "Winnie The Pooh: Blood And Honey 2"... there are SO many things wrong with that: #1, Why? #2, how did they get renewed for a sequel? ) Anyways, enjoy!
Despicable Me 4 ( DM4 )
As I said in my previous blog, ( https://www.chess.com/blog/Jehtt/despicable-me-4s-new-trailer-leaves-lots-of-questions ) I am, dare I say, one of the BIGGEST DESPICABLE ME FANS EVER and ALL of the movies are so good. ( The prequels were.................... erm................ ok.................. ) I have faith in Illumination to continue this sigma series on the right track even though they're probably just doing this just for money because there was no reason for a third movie although I would love to see what happens with Gru and his freakishly long-nosed crew. But... come on... Gru Jr... I'm never gonna get over that name........ WHY!??!
Kung Fu Panda 4
I have a lot of mixed feelings about the Kung Fu Panda films. The first one was awesome, the second one was terrible, the third one was good but then they made all these spin-off series that were really unneeded continuing his journey but I just fell like.............. I don't want them to ruin this series. They were already pushing it making a 2nd film and based on the trailer, I don't even think the Furious 5 are in it. So PLEASE, DREAMWORKS! PLEASE DON'T RUIN THIS!
The Garfield Movie
Garfield has been seen in comics, movies, TV shows, and more. He started as just a comic strip in 1978 and eventually in 1988 had his own show that did pretty well with 7 seasons and then later had a comeback on the big screen in 2004 with "Garfield: The Movie". Well, look where we are now, coming soon May 2024: "Garfield: The Movie". Dude. Are people THAT unoriginal they literally take the same exact title as a previous movie? Bro. ANYWAYS, Chris Pratt ( Sigma ) is Garfield along with Samuel L. Jackson as this big... cat... guy............... I dunno. I think this movie could be really good based off of what we have seen of Garfield previously.
Inside Out 2
The second I heard they were making a new Inside Out movie, believe it or not, I was not that surprised. Every movie coming out lately is not original. I saw this coming from a mile away even before the first movie was ever RELEASED. Anxiety, Envy, Boredom, and Embarrassed. Those are the new emotions coming in Inside Out 2. Here's what I have to say: Disney is going to ruin it. Period. End of story.
Sonic The Hedgehog 3
This movie series is literally the same as Kung Fu Panda: The first one was great then the second one was trash. They COULD redeem this series but like I said in my "Actors And Actresses That Are In Everything: PART 2" blog, ( https://www.chess.com/blog/Jehtt/actors-and-actresses-that-are-in-almost-everything-part-2 ) Jim Carrey announced his retirement RIGHT AFTER Sonic 2 came out. ( SPOILERS FOR SONIC 2 AHEAD ) BUT, they set the 2nd one up in a way for Dr. Robotnik to return along with a new character: Shadow. I don't really know how I feel about this... the second one was so boring I almost fell asleep....... IN THE THEATER. I have no idea how Paramount is gonna pull this one off... ( When you look up "Sonic 3" on google and click "Cast" Jim Carrey pops up as an UNNAMED character.... hmmmmmmmmmmm... IDK WHAT he's planning to do... )
Paddington In Peru
I don't really know a lot about this film but apparently this is the next movie in the Paddington series. All I've heard about it is that they all travel to Peru to meet Paddington's aunt Lucy but get lost in the jungle...... or something...... In this movie, the cast changed a bit with Emily Mortimer as Mrs. Brown. Also, one of my favorite actors, Antonio Bendaras, is from what I can tell, the bad guy in the film. The second movie was a little weird but I think this movie could be good IF executed well.
Alaska Ascent With Alex Honnold
I know this is not a movie but this series looks FIRE. If you have seen the movie "Free Solo", this is the sequel but instead of a second movie, they made it a 3-part TV SHOW! This series continues the climbing adventures of Alex Honnlold as he climbs 1,000 feet higher than he did in the first movie. It actually comes out on February 5th so... YAY!

STAR WARS: The Bad Batch ( Season 3 )
I know I put this show as #8 in my Star Wars series blog, ( https://www.chess.com/blog/Jehtt/all-star-wars-shows-ranked-from-worst-to-best ) but this show could have a comeback. I know I am saying this for every single one on this list, but it's true. They set it up in a way that I think could end up being a really good story but they have to tell it in the right way. Boom. There. I said it.
STAR WARS: The Acolyte & STAR WARS: Skeleton Crew
I have no idea what these 2 series are about but... it's Star Wars so it will probably be awesome.
