How To Improve Your Win Rate In Chess.com
If you struggle with winning or keeping your win streaks, you've come to the right place!
Introduction: There are plenty of ways to get better at chess, these are only i few that I think are the most helpful for beginners and intermediates.
Part 1 How to Save Pieces: If for example, you have a pawn that is about to get captured don't put a higher value piece such as a knight, bishop, rook, or queen. There is one exception, if your pawn is near promotion, then you can sacrifice pieces in order to get a queen or knight.
Part 2: Learn special moves, such as castling or en passant. They are both useful moves but if you castle watch out because it's an easy spot to get checkmated. Castling is when you have no pieces in between your kind and either rook, and en passant is when your pawn has moved 3 squares from it's starting position and your opponent moves their pawn up twice then you can capture it over the space it jumped. You can only do this the first turn after they move. Lots of people don't now what en passant is, so it could be a nice surprise, and it has lots of good uses of course.
I hope this helped this is a short blog compared to my others but I think that these moves and tips are the most important I will make a part 2 when I have the time!
