Bishops, can move diagonally, but are they better overall than the knight??

What is a Bishop?: Bishops are worth 3 points, just like the knights, they can move any amount of spaces in all diagonals, but cannot jump over other pieces like that knight can. Bishops are also really useful in open games, and endgames especially.

Is the Bishop Overall Better Than the Knight?: One of the most asked questions about the two, which is better? It depends on your play style, maybe you like to do forks, then you would probably think that the knight is better but people who like to "snipe" pieces with the bishop would think it's better. I, personally think the knight is better at capturing multiple pieces, by jumping around and checking the king over and over, but that's just from my experiences. The bishop is really good at capturing trapped rooks. So which is better? You decide!

Bishops in the Endgame: Bishops work really well in the endgames, especially if you have a pair. They can work together against almost any other piece, even the queen if you know what to do! If you have two bishops against a rook, you have an advantage, and not just by points, bishops are each worth three points and rooks are worth 5 as you know, it's easier to trap a rook with two bishops than it is for a rook to trap two bishops!

Disadvantages of the Bishop: Bishops, like any other piece also have their disadvantages. Bishops are in big trouble when they're being chased by pawns and then end up trapped or in gaes where there isn't much room for them to move. In those cases, a knight would be better.

I really enjoyed writing this, and i hope you enjoyed reading it just as much!
