How to play well in the opening by @Jeremyscats
So, if you want to get good in the opening, you need to make the most of your pieces. But... don't move the same piece over and over, because that loses tempo. Tempo is how much time you spend in a game. There's only so much time in a game, not 1 million moves! If you spend too much time, your opponent(s) would have developed quickly and created lots of attacks for you to deal with, and it is so stressing you might miss one and get mated! Another thing is that you should castle your king 99% of the time in the first 10-15 moves, to be safe.
My English is not too good because (1: I am kind of from Hong Kong, so I don't know super long words, and 2: I am only in Year 4.) And one more thing is that I'm not a Magnus Carlsen or a Hikaru, or even a GothamChess! I'm a 1100 rated player that wants to be GM when I grow up (If I said some wrong stuff in this blog, blame me, but don't KILL me.) Anyway, my journey will be hard, but I will try your best. I hope this blog will help you win more games in the future and that you have a good chess career.
