My 122 … seconds of fame

Everybody gets his 15 minutes of fame is a famous quote by Andy Warhol. I got my moment of fame on Chess.com. For a full 2 minutes and 2 seconds ChessDreamsTV was incorporated into the Twitch-broadcast from Chess.com of the ArenaKings-tournament.

It was a special evening. I was jumping from joy, excitement and tension. Why? ArenaKings is a serie of tournaments where you play opponents of your own strength and only streamers are eligible of the play-offs or money prices. A week before I got surprised because I won my rating group and won 100 dollars.

Could it get any better? Yes, it could. A week later I was playing even better and had more luck. There were 1700 participant. At one moment I was number 50 in the standings. I became crazy of you. But the adventure wasn’t over yet. I got the number 40 in the standings, then 30, then 20 and even number 8. At the end I finished 15th and got to play in the finals. I never dreamed of something like that. It was such a shock for me that I lost my first game and quickly got eliminated. But I got another 150 dollar and my Twitch-channel ChessDreamsTV made the official broadcast of Chess.com.

That were my full 122 seconds of fame. And to be honest. I enjoyed it fully.

I made a YouTube-compilation of my adventures that evening. My very first contribution on YouTube. Look and enjoy.
