David Movie Review

I was not expecting to see this movie in the theaters, let alone maybe at all, but I'm sort of glad I got to. Angel Studios really found the cheat code by making more animated Christian movies because within the first 3 days of this movie's release, it blew the new SpongeBob movie away by over 7 million dollars. (As of December 22, 2025)

But anyways, welcome to the David movie review.

• Oh, well... if it's "approved by the Angel Guild", then... 🤣
• Bro the cat in King Of Kings sounded like a newborn human baby and so does the tiny sheep in this one; I'm starting to see a pattern lol (But also like... why in the world do they sound like newborn human babies? 😅)
• I liked how they tried to be funny in this movie, but... all the jokes were kinda like-

• I don't really get Angel Studios... is every movie they make Christian? Look at the new Animal Farm film (That looks trash, childish, nothing like the book, and is already being absolutely hated on by every single person in the world btw 🤣) coming out soon for example; I'm almost 1,000,000% sure that book is not a Christian novel, and yet Angel Studios is producing it; what do you guys think? COMMENT BELOW!
• We watched the first episode of the "Young David" show before seeing this movie, and I'm wondering why they didn't just keep going with that show and break up this movie into episodes either making it a different series, or just a new season of the existing one; this film really just shows us like 3 different stories from David's life (David and Goliath, Saul's hunt for David, and the Amalekites taking the Israelites captive) that I feel like it could have just been a show (Which also would have allowed them to display even more content from David's journey without it being too long cuz they're... like... episodes... ya know? Whatever 😅)
• When I was in the theater about like 5 minutes into the movie, I asked my brother to look up how long it was and we were both equally horrified by the number it showed us 🤣 (It went by pretty quick in the end tho ig)
• "I fought lions and bears!"
  Lions and tigers and bears, oh my! (GET OUT-)
• David's brother- "David, you fool..."
  I love how they're just watching their youngest brother march up to an armed 10 foot tall giant doing nothing but standing there saying how he's a fool 😅
• Nooooooooooo why didn't they show David run up to Goliath, take his sword, cut off his head, and show all his family, taunting him?!?!?!? Ah, better luck next time I guess... 💩🤣 (Wut am I even saying by now)
• "Oooh, definitely dead! GOOD!" 💀😭😅
• Hold up, no Bathsheba either? COME ON, GUYS! That story is a key part of David's journey ☝️🤓 (GET OUT-)
• "You're the next king?"
  I thought for a second there he was about to sing a song called "yes" 😭🤣
• "There is one place I know he won't follow..."
  Duuurrrrrr... is it the bathroom? 🥴 (GET OUT-)
• The director's "special message" be like-
  🎶 Do you wanna make a ripple, ripple, ripple? 🎶
• WHAT?!? IT TOOK THEM 30 YEARS TO MAKE THIS MOVIE?!? WHY DID IT ONLY TAKE 8 FOR KING OF KINGS?!? (Even 8 years is a long time... 30?!?!?!?!)
• I wanted to hop into the SpongeBob movie while I was at the theater so I could see the new TMNT short in person on the big screen, but... alas... the next showing wasn't for another hour and a half after my movie ended (I know... I should have waited 😅)

Better than King Of Kings, hope they continue to make more movies like this!
