The Devil Wears Prada 2 Final Trailer Reaction

I’ve honestly been unusually hyped for this sequel for at least 4 or 5 months now since I saw the original Devil Wears Prada and now that we’ve got our final trailer for this new one which showed us much more footage than I expected, I’m ready for this to hit theaters like… now.

But, there's another side to the equation. This trailer made me really confused about the character development and agenda that may be included in this film. So, like always, we have our ups and downs right off the bat. But that’s Hollywood ig. 💩🤣

• You know what? The teaser trailer we got 4 months ago should have been a "trailer tonight" promo for the "official" trailer we got 2 months ago, which should have been the teaser trailer; THEN they should have made this the "official" trailer because this trailer gave us so much more information about the movie unlike all the other trailers; and then if they're feeling generous, ig they can make a different final trailer 🤣
• Hey, remember in the last trailer when they said this movie would be "The Biggest Movie Event Of The Year" heh heh yeah every 2026 movie trailer is going to say that but we can't let those lies phase us... we all know Doomsday is gonna come out on top 😅
• This final trailer kinda came out of no where; I like knowing of trailer releases in advance so I can get hyped about it ☝🤓🤣
• This trailer made me very confused about both Miranda and Emily's characters in this sequel; first, Emily: this whole time I thought the plot of this movie was Emily has a new, rival magazine and Runway has to be better than them; (At least, that's what was rumored online 💩) but, in the past trailers, I feel like this plot is what has been shown perfectly; Emily seemed to be the "devil" and Miranda seemed nicer; but that all came crashing down in this trailer as we see her standing with Miranda and Andy throughout basically this entire trailer; same thing with Miranda: in the last trailer, #1, she didn't even remember who Andy was; #2, she seemed MUCH, much nicer, like I just stated, and no longer like the "devil"; and yet, all of these things were forgotten in this 2 minute trailer; COMMENT BELOW WHAT YOU THINK!
• No more "Vogue" song lol (Just like Supergirl and the "Call Me" song except this time it's an actually ok pick 😅)
• Isn't Miranda's assistant like a famous influencer or sum? I know someone in this cast is if it's not her cuz everyone keeps freaking out about rando celebrities in the background of these trailers I feel 🤣
• Oh no don't tell me they're going to recreate the opening scene from the og in this one 👇😭😅

• Yo is somebody going to DIE or sum in this movie?!? Why is Miranda covering her mouth like that?!? 🤔🤯 (COMMENT BELOW WHAT YOU THINK!)

• Yo we are so cooked; who are these new friends Andy has? 👇😭

• "A sequel? For spring? Groundbreaking"
  Yeah, they're running out of ideas; I've seen them use this slogan already ☝🤓🤣
• Is it just me or do most of the shots in this trailer have a flaky, old fashioned-like kind of filter on them like the one below? 👇🤔

• "I hope that's not what you're wearing to the dinner"
  In the captions it said "I hope that's not what you're wearing tonight" ☝🤓
• Hey, where has the new boyfriend been in all these trailers? They showed him for a split second in the last trailer and he hasn't been seen since 👇💩 (Also, he kinda looks 70 years old 💀😅)

• "What i like about 20th century fox is how they don't just reuse the same scenes that were in every other trailer for a movie but they at least try to show us some new scenes that don't completely spoil the movie" - YouTube comment
  I don't know about the entire company because I honestly don't pay much attention to that specific thing, but FOR SURE this comment is true with this movie; every single one of these trailers have included many different new jokes, scenes, and lines included; even the 🔥 "Tickets On Sale" trailer 🤣
• This interview helped very much plot-wise from Meryl's description of the beginning of the film with Andy's journalism job to the new clip they showed; (Although I am wondering who "he" is 🙃) but also, I got no clue what Meryl was going on about with Barbie and all that; all I could decode from that conversation was that their budget was big for this sequel 👇😅

Just like many movies this year, this one looks great but could be ruined through a couple of different elements like agenda and possibly complicated/messy character arcs... but, I think that either I might be overthinking it or the negatives here all might be easy to look past because over everything else, this movie looks like a very fun time and I absolutely can't wait until May; this has to be my next trip to the movies. 😉
