The Promised Land Episode One Review

When the teaser trailer for the upcoming Marvel show "Wonder Man" came out a few weeks ago, I kept thinking about how the whole Office-style, documentary-type genre is starting to get a bit stale...

But then a few days ago I discovered this one about Moses and the Exodus. 👇🤣 (I mean... how more original can you get? 😆)

I can't say too much since I've only watched one singular episode, but I already know that this show is CRIMINALLY underrated and deserves way more than it's little spot on YouTube. I really hope some more people get invested in this. (But I swear... if they throw any kind of agenda in there throughout these next few episodes, I'm done 🤣)

Anyways, this first episode was a bit boring at times and a little more serious than I had hoped during parts like Jethro's 10 hour speech to Moses at the end and Miriam getting mad at Zipporah, but I really liked Aaron's character and the Egyptian Chisisi's story line???

That was just pure genius. 🤣

I have just a few notes here:

• The intro theme was weird imo 🤷 (Also, it was giving real strong Bible Project-type vibes iykwim 😆)
• I'm being so fr, why do I constantly now have Zipporah's "hay ya ya ya" song stuck in my head 🤣
• I was not expecting this show to begin where it did; I mean, I thought that they might start at the parting of the Red Sea, ya know?
• Y'all I know the creators didn't want to rush into things after releasing episode one, but the gap between the Pilot and episode 2 is just absolutely unacceptable 🤣 (I bet they lost a lot of fans in that gap, too; I mean... it was over an entire year...)
• I can't believe that the studio that makes this show is just a random thing; to be honest, I thought at first that this was a Chosen spinoff series by Angel 🤣🤣🤣
• The show's tagline is very smart: "Crossing the Red Sea was the easy part..." 😄😄😄

So, I'm pretty excited to see what happens next; hope to continue watching very soon. 😎
