First You Have to set the White Pawns in the Second Rank, Rank is a Vertical File That Holds The Coordinates, and If You Move a White Pawn 2 Squares You Get e4 Because It Moved 2 Squares and Hitting The 4th Rank and the E File it make the Language of Chess e4. A File is a Type of Rank That Holds Letters Like A B C D E F G and H Files and To Setup The Black Pawns Put Them on the Seventh Rank Like This Blank Board Put the Black Pawns in a7 b7 c7 d7 e7 f7 g7 h7 So As You Can See The Files are The Letters and the Ranks are the Numbers

To set the Pieces of White Put the Rooks on the a1 and h1 Squares and Put the Knights/Horses on the b1 and g1 Squares For the Bishops Put them on the c1 and f1 Squares and For the King Put them in the e1 Square and For the Queen Put it in d1

For the Black Pieces, You Put the Rooks on the a8 and h8 Squares and Knights/Horses on The b8 and g8 Squares For Bishops Put Them on the c8 and f8 Squares and For the King Put them on the e8 Square and Finally for the Queen you put it on d8
