New Paths in the Smith-Morra Gambit Declined, Part II

Very often, if Black can get in a timely ...Bb4 the move can be disruptive enough to prevent White from gaining any initiative in the Smith-Morra gambit.  As stated elsewhere, I like to decline the gambit with 3...e5, which can lead to sharp positions also considered under the Alapin line.

In this game, I did manage to get in 6...Bb4+ which led first to easy equality, and then to a nice edge, but I was unable to convert the Pawn up ending to a full point.

As always, use the Move List to view other variations considered, along with more game commentary.
