Philadelphia Open Round 6: Matamoros vs Holt

In this game, we have an opening that is usually classified as a Caro-Kann, though the position can arise from several opening move orders. The Ecuadorian Grandmaster got a nice edge, and by move 15, it was clear that Holt would be facing difficult defense of his Kingside. I'd have to say he was up to the task, finding his best chances to survive on moves 24 and 26.

Matamoros botched it, however with his 28th move and after the scramble to get to move 40, the game was equal. Finding no way to win the game all over again, Matamoros took it all the way down to King vs King.  I call that drawing the draw.
