A bit about Fischer's Random chess (Chess960)
It is a variant invented by the late World Champion Bobby Fischer. The rules of the game are the same as standard chess, but in an effort to reduce the impact of opening theory, the pieces have been randomly shuffled on each player's back rank.
How Wesley so became the first Chess960 champion?
In 2019,GM Wesley So played against Magnus Carlsen in the final round for world chess960 champion title. And he defeated Carlsen,so till now he is Fischer Random World Chess Champion.
