The game analysis are for the students of KLA Chess Club, of Keiller Leadership Academy, a title I  K-8 charter public school located in San Diego, CA. Chess is offered as an everyday class for middle school students and as an after school club for primary students.

We will continue to reinforce our basic opening principles:

* Control the center

*Develop minor pieces (knights/bishops)

*Getting castled

*Avoid moving the same piece twice (unless necessary)

* Developing the least active piece

* Keeping the tension on your opponent

We will analyze the opening of a few games from round 9 of our class tournament.
