I was fortunate to have the opportunity to play a 1900+ level player in a tournament qualifier. This game illustrates several tactical blind spots, especially the danger of moving into attacking and threatening moves. Good lesson in the need to evaluate the positions into which we place our pieces, not get so wrapped up in our own strategy and tactical ideas that we miss the obvious!
