5 Years of Chess

Wow! Time flies! I created my chess.com account the same day I “took up chess” just to see how “good I could get”…admittingly, I didn’t even know if I’d still be with it a month later…safe to say I got hooked into the game and here we are 5 years later

Could anyone have expected how much chess would impact me, despite always being just a hobby? Over the years I’ve had some cool moments:

-Made a bunch of chess.com friends (I didn’t even begin accepting friend requests until a year or two into my account) and even met several of them in-person

-Became “Head Chess Writer” at chesshere.com

-Accomplished my goal of 50+ Puzzle Rush Survival score on chess.com

-Surpassed 2000 chess.com Rapid (currently below it again, but just a matter of time before it comes back)

-Became a chess streamer

All of this and of course I’ve played OTB chess events for a few years now too. It’s been a big chess adventure ever since it began 5 years ago and it is still going strong; here is to many more chess years and chess experiences to follow!
