I Am A chess.com Mod Now
This blog post is more of a news announcement, but yes it is “official” that I am now a chess.com moderator!
I’ve always tried to help out the chess community (even before I created my account here) and since day 1 on chess.com (literally), I’ve been active in the chess.com community. I’ve worked with chess.com mods/staff before, so this part isn’t new for me, but with so much of my “regular” life normally invested on chess.com, it just made sense for me to help others on chess.com too. I’ve always been active, but just how active has been a slow progression over the years. A little while ago, chess.com made a forum thread seeking moderator(s). It just made sense for me to apply and after the multi-stage interview process, training and communication with them (no details out of security and respect for chess.com, but I understand the importance of these steps to make sure they have a good team for those roles), I am now a part of the team as well.
It is no exaggeration to say that most of my online time is spent on chess.com and I wouldn’t have it any other way
I am happy and honored to be able to help the chess community in this way. We all just want chess.com to be a great place for everyone to Play, Learn and Connect with others in a friendly atmosphere.

Some may have noticed that @KeSetoKaiba account does not have the Mod icon. I learned this after I applied (during the application process)…chess.com Mods/Staff typically have a “work account” and “personal account” while the identity of the work account tends to be kept private for online safety and security purposes. Another way of looking at this is to treat all the chess.com Moderators and Staff with the same respect you would have with me; in my limited interactions with chess.com Moderators and Staff over the years, I’ve found all of them to be friendly and great people who simply want to help the chess community. This alone is worthy of my respect. It is a noble cause and I gladly join them in their efforts on that
As I often say, see ya around chess.com,
@KeSetoKaiba
