KeSetoKaiba Back To Streaming Chess
Yugi transformation scene from Yugioh (1996). My return isn’t as dramatic as Yami Yugi’s entrance, but it is nice to be back.

I’ll try to keep this fairly short for everyone, but I plan on beginning to stream chess again; it won’t be today, but one of these days soon (almost certainly within a week time-frame; most likely within a day or two from now).

In fact, I never intended to go on a “break” from streaming; yet here we are a few months later. There were several contributing factors to why I didn’t come back immediately; I can highlight a few of those in the next live stream.

Speaking of that: this will be my first stream using OBS Studio software, so I didn’t want to do something people might look forward to and potentially miss if I have trouble setting up the stream and navigating the software (although it looks similar enough I think I have it handled). For this reason, I didn’t want the stream to be a chess tournament among members, or games with viewers etc. as we’ll have plenty of future days for streams like that. I plan this next stream to be a casual “just chatting” where I might explain some of what the last few months have been like for me while I do something like Puzzle Rush Survival.

I still want to offer instructional content and conversation even if there will be some summary of events.

My feelings on this chess streaming journey are still overwhelmingly positive; however, perhaps the most emotionally straining to the “break” was that each day I really felt like the next day I’d be back to streaming. This was especially true for roughly the first month, or two.

Rather than give a longer blog post here (as I have a tendency to do sometimes), I’ll save the storytelling for the stream wink.png

I currently stream chess live through Twitch and afterwards post the streams on YouTube, so no pressure if everyone isn’t there live as you could catch the stream on YouTube at your convenience. Channel hyperlinks are in my chess.com profile as well as in this Blog here:
