Hello everyone,

In this post, I would like to show you some of my games from the 5th Allauch Festival between August 28 and September 2, 2023. I have never been to a more professional tournament than this one. Not only were there DGT boards for both groups of the tournament but they all also had cameras and the event was streamed on multiple platforms.

I am lucky to say, I had a DGT board for all of my games so I could stream this event on my Twitch channel.

The end of round 9

Overall, I played great in the tournament, but sadly thanks to an unfortunate loss due to time trouble caused me a bigger Elo loss, therefore I gained "only" around 8.8 points in the event. I know it is great still, however, I was hoping for a higher gain.

Now, let's see some of my games! I chose from the more interesting ones. Sadly I did not win in all of them, but we learn from our mistakes, don't we?

Round 4:

Quite proud of e4 and Bh3 moves. Overall enjoyed this game quite a lot. The opening seemed a bit suspicious especially because of Rb8. But after that, I did just fine.
Round 9:
What a great start this game had! Surely had a lot of missed chances from both sides and my opponent for sure played much better than 1388 (in fact, he gained around 70 elo this tournament!).
Round 1:
Overall I am happy I could hold on for this long against such an amazing player. Sadly our endgame skills differ and not in the way it benefits me.
In the end, I am extremely happy I played in this tournament. Really well organized, only kind people and a streamer-friendly event. I can highly advise this tournament for everyone, who wants to enjoy a great tournament right next to Marseille. The village is cute and the views are pretty.
