Diary of a Chess Player: 3 Days in Elo Hell

INTRODUCTION

Hello everyone! Welcome to my jungle! I am Gorilla🦍, perhaps "kind and cute". Today I bring you my best blog about my efforts to gain ELO in the dense jungle of ELO HELL. As you know, I am the best player with no inaccuracies and blunders (or so I tell myself), so you can witness me gaining (losing ahem) ELO along the way in my Jungle adventure. Elo hell in the jungle is a place where every game is a battle with my fellow gorillas for a banana 🍌 and every mistake and inaccuracy is like a banana peel waiting to trip me up. I will be playing 10... er, 3 games a day and I will be showing you how many banana peels lie on the way to victory. And you will get a packed experience of Elo hell in the Jungle. 

You will witness joy, sadness, anger and a bunch of bananas (ahem, laughter) during my 3 days in Elo Hell kicking off with exact 1000 Elo of rapid. So what am I waiting for, a bunch of bananas and we are on our way.

Day 1

I am the king of the jungle (no lions allowed in the jungle) and I can defeat anyone and everyone who gets in my way. I always have fights with monkeys who steal my bananas and guess who wins; not me. With my great accuracy, I easily defeat best players in the world and Stockfish 17 can't even stand in front of me. 

GAME 1:

This sitting chad with a very rocky chin challenged me for my first game with a cool refreshing drink in his hand (although it looked like a flower pot to me before). He was soo good that he traded rook for my knight to checkmate me, but alas;

With 'just' 5 mistakes and 7 blunders, I defeated my opponent with high accuracy of 73.7%.

With my good knowledge of the Sicilian Defence and only 3 book moves that I can remember, I defeated my opponent. Am I a joke to you?

With that Gorilla King 👑 is now at 1016 Elo!

GAME 3:

Under the guidance of my GM coach gorilla, I started my 3rd and last game of the day with a very high excitement level

and guess who won: Of course me!

The third game was against this genius unidentified person with 0 followers! AH look at the game of the day!

With such high accuracy, I kicked off the butt of 3 ppl and proved that I am the superior of all the bios!

DAY 2

 I took a bunch of bananas on my way to Elo hell as Prag, Arjun, Gukesh take when going for a battle but the difference is that they take just one and me...ahem

GAME 1:

Was in a good mood but as you know every game cannot be won. I managed it hard but unfortunately no use. The King lost! Begin the Procedures!

This kid with yellow sunset without a sun challenged me for the game and I lost as he was good at tilting.

With high amount of accuracy, I unfortunately lost to a pony kid. He is so bad to me! Maybe I have to learn pony. Ah now I am gonna be pissed by my coach, but you only tell was it my fault at all i was just being good! With just 2 blunders which ruined my game, I am once again to block 0 with -8. AH *Pain inside. YEAH so its the first game and I have to win the rest for today! Now I will pay more attention to the board!

THE REACTION OF COACH AFTER MY HUGE BLUNDERS AND LOSS:

GAME 2:

UM, after high amount of motivation {depression} from game one I started the game 2 wishing for some luck!

My next game was against dst333 (idk if he likes 3), it was a whole family from the country of Messi. Though he didn't have enough followers as Messi, but still I had to fight the whole family! The main problem wasn't that he brought his whole family, but problem was; he was low rated and so I get +7 for the win! But still I accepted the whole family!

Bro wasn't able to accept defeat even after losing the queen. But still I played along and won and showed that bishop was useless. I had 4 great moves (ahem blunders), but still +7 Elo for me HAHAHA. The whole family can't defeat the Gorilla King LOL.

GAME 3:

The third and last game of my day, I was determined to win this at all cost, to progress in the Elo hell! Lets see who challenges the King...

I was very feared from him from the very beginning as you can see, he isn't looking earthly. Idk he is older than the oldest man, whatever..

He challenged me; I mean I fought so hard Until the 2nd last move and in the last move bro became greedy took my pawn and got targeted by my back rank mate. He had higher accuracy than me but alas at the last move he blundered out and he is done. But that's the basic puzzles everyone is taught, idk if he was high on testosterone! Check the game yourself, He said f you in the chat and resigned. Am I that bad...I thought I was kind and Cutiepie!

Thanks that he took the pawn with his rook and lol i got free +8. Idk I don't deserve it. But anyways lol..

Final score after day 2 is 1031 woohooo!

DAY 3

 The last day for my visit to Elo Hell journey! I was so excited to make clear wins today, as you know I am good at catching (ahem making) blunders; but ok I first went to my coach for the blessing to win battles in the Elo Hell! 

I secretly took a picture of my COACH to show you how he looks in the morning after waking up. Pls see it once:-

This is my coach looking at the morning very cute. Pls don't look at his teeth;I know he don't brush but ok! Ok so, after his blessing, I went straight into the Elo hell with a sack of bananas to gain (lose) some Elo...

GAME 1:

So for the first battle, I was paired against Shreyas287, a person from my own country but maybe it is his 287th account idk.

So this person with a good number of followers and no image challenged me to a game he has been playing since 2021 and is experienced in. But I was wrong. Bro literally thought a single for 1 min 48 sec and at the 12th move brother thought it was a classic game of 2 hrs and was thinking so hard even after blundering his bishop free for me to capture. The game itself conceded the match and I won. idk he made mistakes on the 7th and 8th move himself lol.

Yes its great time for CLASSIC and not rapid ...Anyways I got my first +8 lol.

The blessings of my coach helped a lot, you can see how Others shook hand with me for resignation sitting "on" the chessboard and not near it.

GAME 2:

For my next game, I was paired against Asquar06 (I know he ranked 6th in his matrix lol) and he was a fuming hot nacho (person) who had studied well

Though he had PINK PROFILE PIC+0 FOLLOWERS+0VIEWS (all fellow gorillas ignore him), Bro really crossed his limit and defeated me! 

Bro really saved one pawn for savage finish. I had some high chance but alas blundered and -8 hits harder! Sometimes life hits hard and Coach with ugly teeth hits harder! Ah *true words!

GAME 3:

For Game 3, I wanted a perfect finish, so I went ahead with an angry face as you can see in the pic, how angry I was...ahem

Yes, so what I was saying is I went for my next game. LaBallenaAsesina, a renowned opponent was paired against me!

As you can see this high profile with 1 great loyal follower was paired against me!

After nicely blundering the queen thinking like it is a checkmate..brother really continued to play neverthless his position was miserable and pointless and after that got checkmated easily lol. A clear +8 and recovered from the previous loss.

With that day 3 ended with 2 wins and a loss

CONCLUSION

As you can clearly notice, The Elo Hell is Real and I got 7/9 which is still a good score and +39 Elo which is greater than the Elo Guki gained in the entire Olympiad (Ahem...). My coach was very Happy with me and now I can have a sound sleep with a bunch of Bananas to enjoy!
