If you've tried to orally count to 1,000 before (which I'm sure you wanted to do as a kid, I have personally done it before), you probably know how hard it is, and how long it takes. For reference, 1,000 seconds is around 17 minutes.
Now you might be asking why I'm doing this intro, it's just to visualize how MASSIVE the club I'm giving away is. Not 1,000 members, not even 2,000 members. I'm giving away a club with... 6,000 MEMBERS. You saw that right. SIX. THOUSAND. MEMBERS. Largest club giveaway on Chess.com, I guess! As a Super Admin of CVC, I know that CVC has gifted over 2.5K members worth of clubs, but this one just absolutely destroys every single record.
Now I think you might know what club I'm talking about.
Yes, it's iCHESS. Anyone remember that club? (if you want to skip this part because it's mainly yapping, go to "So with that in mind")
@youare9 was the original founder of iCHESS back in 2007. @Jared found the club in March of 2024, and I joined it back in June of 2024. I became Super Admin on August 18th 2024 I believe, and Jared became the OFFICIAL owner in April. That club was the go-to for all conversations.
Basically you had two very active clubs, the two most reigning clubs. Paladins of Chess (POC), which had basically all active people of Chess.com Social. All the final bosses, Jared, Scemer, Devil, etc. And then there's iCHESS, which was less active, but more.. peaceful.
I then became Owner of iCHESS on April 11, at that time Jared was slowly making his way out of the site. It was painful, but I tried to grow the club ASAP. Until... the final exams. That's when I was on this site for only around 10 minutes each day. When I came back, I wasn't motivated enough to continue. In fact, my "demotivation" for growing iCHESS started all the way back in January 2025. Simply because no one was joining arenas, no one cared, and most importantly: CVC.
At that time CVC was beginning its arc, and I mean it. With the start of H/H Round 1 in November 2024, it was basically game over for any other existing active club. And you can still see that in action for the previous active clubs. POC is dead, iCHESS is dead, I mean so many other clubs were dead. CVC's reign until now is supreme, but there are still many REALLY active clubs, like Republic of Noobistan, Kayla and Erin Fan Club, The Illusion Fireballs, all the big names.
So with that, I decided to quit my work for iCHESS, and only focus on CVC.. and probably sometimes I was working for RON. Point is, iCHESS wasn't even on my mind at all, and I basically forgot it existed. But the truth is: everytime I remember iCHESS exists, I feel guilty. I felt like if I continue the Ownership... you know what, it just haunts me 😅
So with that in mind, I'm announcing that I'm giving away the 6K member club. Please note that this giveaway is the hardest to earn, since... what do you expect, it's a 6K member club lol.
