If I Were The Head of FIDE
When I was thinking about a blog to write, I went to BlogChamps for help on ideas. I got some ideas, but ultimately, @WinT0L0ss came to the rescue with a DM with a helpful suggestion- write a blog about things I would change if I was the head of FIDE.
And so, I would like to thank @WinT0L0ss for this idea!
1. Banning Mutual Draws
Banning mutual draws before move 40 would make it so players would have to fight their way to a checkmate or drawn position. This would force players to try to start whittling down the position to a place where there were actually less pieces on the board, and stop draws where few to none pieces have been captured.
2. Allowing Jeans
This is quite practical- player comfort is important for game accuracy! If one if comfy, we can make brilliants! Magnus would be quite pleased by this!

3. Allowing Couches as Chair
Again, comfort! We could also have private bars. Enjoy a margarita while playing!
4. Bring in Working Ice Cream Machines
What an important addition! We all know McDonald's sucks at keeping ice cream machines working. Why not let our best chess players have a sundae that can actually be made?
5. Allow Board Set-Up Before Game
This would allow players to get a bit of an advantage for their game. Want an extra queen? Just add it! A rook? Coming right up!
6. TV
Who wouldn't want a TV while playing professionally? So many uses! Watch The Queen of Chess, Pokemon, and so much more! And if we ever had a 5 year old GM, perhaps My Little Pony or Daniel Tiger!

By now, you can see what great changes should be made to FIDE. Now all that's left is to become the head...
Or perhaps come up with more ideas! Maybe a ban on socks?
