3rd Annual ChessHelps Tournament

ChessHelps is an organization dedicated to help raise funds for the School and the Community! This event will raise funds for the Basis Chandler School and for KIVA, a non-pro t organization with a mission to connect people through lending to alleviate poverty.

BASIS Chandler, 4825 S. Arizona Avenue, Chandler, AZ 85248. Near the intersection of Arizona Avenue and Chandler Heights.

4-round or 5-round Swiss tournament based on rating.
USCF Rated sections (August Supplement used).
Proof of current USCF membership required. If not a USCF member, please join at:
https://secure2.uschess.org/webstore/member.php prior to registering.

Unrated section (Not-USCF rated) available for players without USCF membership.

$25 by August 8. $30 by August 12 at 7pm. $35 on site (may receive 1⁄2 pt. bye rst round). GM/IM/FM/WGM/WIM may request FREE Entry. Contact Radhika Guruju, (480) 747-0222.

Online registration closes at 7pm, August 12th. On-site registration closes at 8:30am, August 13th. 1/2 point bye for any round (max 2) if requested prior to Round 1.

By USCF Rating: Open; U2000; U1600; U1200, U500, and Unrated (Casual Play) Unrated section (Not-USCF rated) for those without USCF membership.

U1600; U2000; Open: 4 Rounds Swiss System. Rounds at 9am, 11:30am, 2pm and 4:30pm. Unrated; U500; U1200: 5 Rounds Swiss System. Rounds at 9am, 10:45am, 12:30pm, 2:15pm and 4pm.
An awards ceremony will take place after last round is complete.

U1600; U2000; Open: Game in 60 minutes (per player); delay clocks set at 60 min + 5 sec delay. Unrated; U500; U1200: Game in 40 minutes (per player); delay clocks set at
40 min + 5 sec delay.
Please bring chess clocks, none provided.

Individual: Top 5 Trophies for each section. Open (2000 & up): 1st place - $300, 2nd place - $150, 3rd place - $100
