MDC dumped my dream :(
Hey guys, welcome to my blog. It has been a challenging day due to the MDC tournament.
Ok, this is how this tournament started. See, I signed up for u1600 for the tournament, but then I saw my friend Logan Kim, who is 1384 in the open section!!!!! Crazy, right? But I thought that if you win even one game, your rating will skyrocket and not drop. So, I asked my mom to sign me up for u1800, and we did. However, Logan then changed to a rating of u1600, but I didn't, so I went to the tournament with confidence and started with a draw against a 1600 player. Here is the game.
Now I have 0.5 points. If I win, I will be in almost the top place. Let's see what happens.
I now have 1.5 seconds in place. Now, day one is over, the next day will go great. On the first day, I have a friend named Elliott Wood, who lost to every 800 in the tournament scholastic. He lost because he wanted to play Gothamchess and sacrifice his rook. Crazy, this is why he is still a 700. Never be like him, don't play like Gothamchess, thinking sac the rook is a good thing. This is why he is bad. I give him advice, but he doesn't listen. This kid glazes GothamChess, Crazy. Never play like Elliott; if you do, you will fail like him. Never follow how a celebrity plays like Sac the rook!!! But if there's a checkmate in two, etc., do it. He sacrificed the rook for fun. Bro, I talk to him not to play like this, but he never listens. To me I don't think he can reach even 1000 or 900. Lastly, his notation is crazy. I thought it was Arabic. LOL, Ok, here is the game ( NO comments)
Now I had 2 points. The next round is a prodigy, Miller Zhang, a 10 or 9, I think, and he is a 1830. Here is the game.
Now I had a 2.5-second day. The third day is the worst. I had no energy to play chess after day 3, so this happens.
My first loss, but I still had a chance to become 1500.
Now that the tournament was over, I was disappointed that I hadn't won. The rating comes up. I calculate I would be 1500, but you know what, 1496. I crashed out. Now, there are 4 points to reach 1500. MDC dumped me.
Now, in today's blog, we had to learn
1. Never follow celebrity moves like the Sac the rook or the Cow opening; if you do, you will become like Elliott.
2. Play your best even if you try your best. Like me, I tried to play solid against Elijah, even though I was tired, and I still lost, but I gave it my best effort.
Now, this concludes the blog. Sorry for taking it so long. I was supposed to make one before this, but now this is going out first because of technical difficulties. So, thank you.
