why hello there, it has been awhile yeah ik an insane while since my last mysterious exit but here is a interesting update coming towards returning with lots of exciting blogs along the way. my family is currently having some health issues here and there and i am hoping for my sister to get well while my mom is doing alright for the most part. the good news is my OTB is extremely getting a boost in these past 2 weeks with my performances going pretty well.

this event took place july 3rd in honor of independence day or more commonly known as the fourth of july and it was a pretty fun event. it was at a tea shop i haven't gone to in about 2 years but have now finally returned towards and this time i blew the competition, going with 4 straight wins and winning maybe double prize money considering there was a U2000 prize and normal prize so super insane. my ratings have skyrocketed so far in these past few weeks and i feel confident in being able to cross the 1600 barrier in the next few weeks.

the tea place was a very calm and a bit of a special partnership for diego (the organizer and a friend who i go to his usual tournaments) which explained the money fee being high along the fact that it was in honor of the special holiday. my first game was against a newcomer who's name i haven't seen yet but this was his first tournament and i won with a neat mate.

it was worth noting that lately pretty much every morning on tournaments or a few minutes before they drive me, i am drinking cherry slushy without too much fuel or food. i did however go right to the bathroom before round 2 started and came late to the game but i did win very tactically being at 97 accuracy and blew my opponent right off the board

our next game was against a 1800 who i again as stated during the above section, i was at the bathroom but nonetheless i managed to keep my cool and paralyzed my opponent later on with a brutal finish. granted, his Ba3 move was a bit annoying at first but once i untangled my advantage simply grew and the idea of his pieces being tangled was too much in the end.

both my last 2 games involved unrated opponents and this round i was given the pre final boss, with my opponent being around 1850 but the real final fight began in the 4th round...

the final game took place with a person i met so it was super cool being given the opportunity to play him in this event but he definitely was a big challenge. he was rated around 1900 but i did not get feared and stayed towards my guns, playing my usual e3, going for tricks with moves like qb5 and in the end just devastating him with the fork and managing to calculate the end. we did use his board and after i helped him clean up i apologized for the unfortunate loss but he was humble and did shake my hand regardless being a good sport and i took the 1st place spot happy.png

our game was the last board standing and it took me a bit of time to calculate Rd3 but he still had a draw which he missed so it was very fortunate for me who didn't realize it either. overall pretty fun event overall and i am not 1600 rapid while 1540 in classical so i have been feeling happy with my performances lately. i hope everyone had a nice 4th of July tonight and i can't wait to show more of my future blogs in the next following weeks, thanks again and cheers happy.png
