Hello Chess players,

A chess boards seems a normal game board with 64 squares having 32 white and 32 black squares in alternate sequence.

In a chess board there are vertically 8 squares and horizontally 8 squares making it have 64 square in area calculation. There are numbers printed in vertical line and alphabets printed on horizontal line at the borders of the board. Each and every square on a chess board have a specific name like a1 or b4. It's very important for a chess players to know every square perfectly as it helps to improve the game. At beginner level it does not affect too much but at Advance level of Master level it matters a lot as in classical games writing notations are compulsory.

In initial phase it may seems difficult or confusing to learn and remembering it but with regular practice it's possible to learn this which in turn helps us to analyse the games easily. Playing chess can be fun for many players but but it also consists of deep theories.

Learn and Enjoy!
