
A Capablanca Game For Every Day of Spring #15
Today I have a game from the Karlsbad tournament of 1929 between Capablanca and Fred Dewhirst Yates. Capablanca only managed to finish 2nd behind Nimzowitsch in the tournament, which I'm sure pleased Nimzowitsch. In this game we have a typical situation for Capablanca where his opponent tries to be a little too aggressive without justification and he punishes it brilliantly.

Yet another great defensive effort from Capablanca that he made look easy. Always be careful not to get your pieces trapped like Yates does in this game.
