
A Capablanca Game For Every Day of Spring #18
Oops, I missed a day! Well nothing to do about that but keep on going as best I can.
Today we have the start of the World Championship match against Lasker! Before the match began Lasker actually claimed that he wasn't good enough to be World Champion any more and that he would be the challenger since Capablanca was clearly the best chess player in the world. Lasker even tried to give the title to Capablanca without a match but Capablanca declined.
The first game doesn't have a lot to analyze and there are no tactics to show you but there is still some instructive value and I wanted to include all of the World Championship games.

And the first game of the match ends without any bloodshed. Of course both players are starting out a bit careful but as things go on we will see some decisive games.
