Hello guys! Let us continue our topic about improving yourself. After Ukrainian Olympic Champions Academy I joined "Virtual Chess Festival" presented by "Elevate my chess". The organizers declared 37 CAD fee for 7-day event, what it was unbelievably cheap for this kind of event even if it is online. So, this festival was combined cash tournaments, lectures and interviews. But later when I am already sign in this event I realized that for chess lectures you must pay additionally, so it is like you pay for demo version and after few days you cannot use your app, because you must to upgrade your game. Therefore, my first mind about this event was not so good.

I agree, that price for lecture not so high, but it's looking unfair, when you call everybody to cheap chess festival for only 37$ and told nothing about additional fees! So, for 3-hour lecture with Canadian GM you can pay 100+$, so 30 bucks per hour it is fine, but why so long lecture? 3 hours for kids it is unbelievable long lesson! Because most of participants was kids. This is also was surprise for me, as I was sure that would be different tournaments for kids and adults or at least different ranking groups.

By the way during this festival also was few masterclasses with GM and IM for free. But level of this classes was not high  and themes was not interested unfortunately. Anyway I want to say thanks for the organizers, I know that it was their first experience and for sure you cannot make perfect immediately. During this festival I played some good games. In last round of CFC tournament I made draw against Master from USA:

When your opponent playing too fast!

After this event I joined "Improve your chess with Top trainers" organized by European Chess Academy! 10 lectures with Top chess coaches and strong GMs. Everybody can choose which lectures are more interesting for him, so I chose 5 lectures:

1-GM Alojzije Jankovic

2- GM Arthur Yusupov

3- GM Margeir Petursson

4- GM Vladimir Chuchelov

5- GM Iossif Dorfman

My favorite GM here is Arthur Yusupov, because I know him like very instructive coach. And I had his 10 books set manual, which is perfect! But actually, lots of depend which theme will choose coach. So, my advice to everybody never wait to much for something, very often you will be upset. That is what happened with me, lecture was not so interesting for me like I am dreamed about. But was very helpful lecture with Jankovic, where is he talk about dynamic in chess, but I will create other post about this lecture, because I am sure that it will help to young players. Actually, he writes the same in his book "The Grandmaster mindset", which you can order on my website https://www.memoryusb.net/product-page/alojzije-jankovic-the-grandmaster-mindset-a-first-course-to-chess-improvemen

Also was glad to hear minds and ideas of Chuchelov and Dorfman. Now I am looking for new Edition of Dorfman's book! And in the end small bonus- link on upcoming online classes! Good luck guys! Improve yourself every day!
