Real Chess Club

Chess club. What does it mean to you, dear chess players? I am sure that everyone will have a different answer and unique experience with that. For me personally, it's a comfortable place where you wish to learn more and play, play, and play games to sharpen your skills.

My childhood memories are of the smell of coffee and wooden chess pieces. As usual, our club was packed with kids. We were ready to spend three hours on one chess session four times per week! Consistency is a KING! We had a chance to practice almost every day! 

This is different from what you can see in Canada. Chess culture was at a low level, but I am really happy that there have been a lot of changes over the last 5-10 years. I have seen a great inspiring experience of the Calgary Chess Club. In Ontario, the Excelsior Chess Club was a great example of a professional chess club, but unfortunately, it is closed already.

Whenever I work online or rent places around the GTA, I still dream about the Professional Chess Club. So, finally, it's almost here, in Brantford! You will feel a chess atmosphere, and sorry, parents, it would be hard to take kids home. ChessUA Club will work 7 days a week, so you can practice whatever you have time! I like a national instructor, will be happy to improve your chess! This club would be the centre of chess life in Ontario!
