The world's #1 chess site,Chess.com wants to take chess to the streets - with a little help from us.In response to their urge we , a few chess lovers at Dhaka in Bangladesh, observed  the 1st world meetup day ,happened in 832 cities throughout the world on 16th April 2011 with great amusement. It was three-days Govt. holiday, including Bangla New Years Day, so most of us went out of the city.We started with three of us, expanded to eight out of fourteen enlisted. We spent the day by chatting, playing chess. We discussed how to more popularize chess. We shared our fantastic chess related experiences.Mr. Ranadev, who participated last Olympiad on behalf of Bangladesh, told us his story about his interview with world champion Karpove. He arranged some refreshment for us.We thanked Ranadev for his cordial effort to make it successful.Due to stormy weather we arranged it in indoor. We hope we will be able to  arrange our next meetup day to be held on 25th June 2011 to an  open  square according to Chess.com urge.
