Today I will show you a sacrifice for black and the Center Game Accepted: Danish Gambit.
After my article about preventing 1…, e5 while playing the white pieces I saw that black can sacrifice pawns for an opening advantage. After the most common move, 1. e4, black plays d5.

But the pawn move made a weakness because the pawn stands in a place where the king and rook will be forked:
Black realizes that and reinforces the pawn with a trap on the doorstep:
Black ignored the trap and emerged with a winning position. But if black doesn’t ignore the trap…
…the player with the black pieces will lose a rook and bishop. However, the white queen got almost trapped and black took over the center.
Center Game Accepted: Danish Gambit
The opening begins with e4 and e5. After that white wants to sacrifice a pawn for better development:
Instead of c3, you can play the move that takes over the center:
Black certainly won’t approve.
It isn’t a good idea to take the queen out. You can give a second and even third pawn:
