Chess Fashion: King's Pawn Opening: Wayward Queen Attack
I played a few games recently and saw a giant change: instead of the typical pawn protecting, my opponents played the King's Pawn Opening: Wayward Queen Attack.
This sets up a trap: if you ignore it completely you may lose because of checkmate:
If you attack the queen, you lose a lot of material and advantage in development.
The good moves are Nc6 and d6.
This opening often tricked me. I was also a user of it, on my other profile, LabMaster100Hat. That is why it is better to play unique and yet strong openings. I recommend the Polish Opening, which is b4.
Just look at the development!
Well, it’s not that impressive, but look at the trap here: a punishment for ignorance.
If you like playing quick developed games, this opening is great for you! Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoyed it!
