Things chess players hate

Hi there, welcome back to my blog. In this one I will tell you some of the things chess players hate.

Enjoyy.

Mouse slips

Everyone hates mouse slips, it's the worst thing in the world, and they usually happen when you are nervous, and if you are nervous it means you are in most likely in a tournament or you are playing someone way better that you and you are winning that game, then it happens, ka-boom,

.

.

you mouse slip and your opponent immediately takes advantage, and you most likely lose that game, and you lose in the worst way.

Loud sounds

Doesn't it suck when you are playing a game of chess and someone is just banging on your door telling you it's time for lunch. All chess players hate being distracted when playing a game of chess, and you should try to practice chess in the quietest place possible with the fewest amount of distractions or even squeaks in the walls for where mice are running around, if you have a mouse problem in your house.

Power cuts

If you are playing a game of chess and the power in your house goes out, it's annoying as F#!*. Sorry I don't usually swear like that but it has to happen because it is annoying as F#!*, especially if you are winning and your computer goes out, it makes me sick just thinking about it.

Cheaters

Cheaters, the devils of chess, the most annoying people. Here's a fun fact, if you lose to a cheater in tournament, even if they are caught, that point that you lost you don't even get back!?!?! But if you lose to them in a casual game and they are caught, you get your lost rating points back, and we thank you chess.com for doing that. One very sad example of a cheater is GM Igors Rausis, who was rated over 2600! He was caught cheating when someone got very suspicious because he was going to the rest room every 10 minutes, so they took a picture.

.

.

Yeah that's him on a toilet that is CLOSED, using an engine to cheat.

Pieces that are sticky

Have you ever been to an OTB tournament and the pieces that you use are sticky, cuz I have. Please make sure when you are playing chess, use clean hands, or if your hands are dirty or sticky, wash them.

Talkative opponents

Have you ever been to a tournament and your opponent just talks to you or worse his friends, if you do this, STOP IT!! It is the most annoying thing you can have at a chess tournament, when you are trying to focus and calculate lines and you opponent talks to you about why he is annoyed because he is lactose-intolerant, or he talks to his friends, this is not acceptable and if you see this, immediately call the arbiter.

People talking around you

Yep, people actually do this. When you are in a tournament and you are playing a game and your friends are done with theirs, they sometimes come into the tournament area and talk to you or someone else around you. Goddamn, it is so annoying, and if you see this, report it because they could be using code to communicate and cheat.

When your opponent rocks

When I say rocks I don't mean like the guys who make really loud music, I mean rocks back and fourth, maybe to some people this is not so annoying, but to me, *groans*, it is so annoying, and I actually lost a game because my opponent did this. Here is that position, and I remember it a year after. I did not even write it down, I remember it, it hurts.

As you can see white is completely losing, and that's bad because I am white. Here is the position a moment ago.

Yep I was winning by so much, but I didn't think to push my pawns. Also that bishop blunder was because of the next thing on this list.

Time trouble

The worst feeling in the world is when you are winning by so much and time punches you in the face.

.

.

Yeah, that's exactly how I feel, minus the fire and the screaming, that would be awkward. There's not that much left to say about this, it just sucks.
