The Sully Summer Quads were held at the Sully Community Center in Sully, VA, on July 15th and 22nd. This as an action-packed event! We had two quads, each comprised of 4 players. Here I will give you a brief overview of what happened:

July 15th:

Quad 1: William Wang is the winner

Quad 1 was comprised of William Wang (1986), Ameya Haldankar (me) (1991), Atharva Haldankar (1713), and Aaradhya Patil (1364). It was certainly an action packed quad! Both William Wang and I won our first two games, against Atharva and Aaradhya. Our last encounter was a tense battle, both of us only having seconds, but Wang came out on top:

Quad 2: This quad was comprised of Ayush Anaspure (801), Tanvi Haldankar (1092), Shilpa Vaidya (700), and Aarya Patil (128). Ayush Anaspure ended up winning this quad with a nice victory against Tanvi Haldankar.
July 22nd:
Quad 1: Cowinners William Wang and Ameya Haldankar (myself)
Quad 1 was comprised of William, myself, Tanvi, and Daniel Coleman. Today, I was able to draw with William in order to tie for first place. Here is the game as shown below:
Quad 2: Atharva Haldankar is the winner
Quad 2 was comprised of Atharva Haldankar (1703), Ameya Rajeev (1481), Danny Coleman (335P4), and Zachary Coleman (Unr). Atharva managed to trick Rajeev in a completely losing position to secure a draw and clear first place:
The Atlantic Chess Association plans to hold another Sully Summer Quad tournament on July 29th. We hope to see you there if you are available!
