Hello everyone, today I am going to start a series called Advanced Checkmate Patterns. In this series, I will be posting checkmate patterns regularly which will help you win more games. Chess.com has helped me very much with these patterns. So lets get started.

Our today’s topic is the Epaulettes’ Mate. This is a kind of checkmate wherein the king is trapped within his own pieces. Here is an example of the Epaulettes’ Mate:-
