King’s Gambit Accepted

Hello everyone,today we’ll learn the King’s Gambit and see the famous “Immortal Game” featuring the King’s Gambit.I hope you’ll enjoy and learn something new.So lets start.

This is the King’s Gambit,and it was invented by Ruy Lopez.Our intention is to sacrifice a pawn to get a lead in development and get a half-open file on f-file. After that,almost everyone plays d3 or d4,launching a discovered attack on the pawn and trying to regain the pawn.But according to me,we should play Nf3,stopping Qh5+.Try to exchange your knights with your opponent’s bishops and try to have the bishop-pair advantage because this will be an open game and bishop is a perfect choice in open games compared to knight.If you have the knight-pair advantage,keep the position closed.Here’s a game of mine featuring the King’s Gambit.

This was a bullet game and both of us,my opponent and me didn’t have enough time to think.And here’s the Immortal Game-
