Siberian Trap
Hello everyone,
Firstly, please apologise me for not posting anything for a while. The reason was that I was playing for my cricket academy last 2 months.I hope you will pardon me.
Secondly, today we’ll learn the Siberian Trap. So without wasting any more time, lets get started.
*Above is the the Siberian Trap
Important Point to remember in this trap:-
•This trap occurs in the Smith Morra Gambit, where white sacrifices a pawn for a better position. You have to accept the Gambit completely to use this trap
Tips if your opponent doesn’t fall in this trap:-
•Remember that in this position your knights are your strength. So don’t exchange them.
•You will probably end up in a knight-bishop endgame, so study that well.
Here are some common questions that will appear in your mind-
Question-How to save yourself from this trap?
Answer-Simple, play h3 before castling as this will not allow black to move his knight to b5.
Question-What to do if our opponent doesn’t fall in this trap?
Answer-Try to exchange your opponent’s knights and develop your pieces as soon as possible to dominate the endgame.
Question-Should we castle early?
Answer-You can castle anytime after you control the g4 square.
I hope you enjoyed and learned something new from the blog. If you did please follow me for more such blogs. If not, please comment where should I improve. Thanks for reading.
