Traxler Counter Attack- Part 2
Hello everyone, today we will check out a game played by GM Karel Traxler. This is the second part of my ongoing series, Traxler Counter Attack. We also learn the Fried-liver Attack in the Traxler Counter Attack. I hope you will enjoy the blog and learn something new. Thanking you in anticipation.
Now let’s learn th Fried-liver Attack. I have also noted down some key points to remember while playing the Fried Liver Attack.
- The Fried-liver attack is a very dangerous and a GM level variation. So I would not suggest you to play it unless you know all the variations.
- It is usually a closed endgame in the Fried-liver Attack, so try to keep the double-knight advantage.
- If it results in an open endgame, keep the double-bishop advantage.
- You need to sacrifice your knight temporarily. Then you will get an extra pawn and your opponent will lose the right to castle.
- If you are playing as black, don’t capture the d pawn if you don’t know how to defend against the Fried-liver Attack.
I hope you enjoyed the blog and learned something new. If did, please follow me and join my club, The MindMasters. THANKS.
