In Memory Peter Long, 1961-2025

With the recent passing of former MCF Secretary - IA/FT Peter Long, in Myanmar earlier this month, MCF has been informed that his remains have arrived in Malaysia earlier this week for a proper burial. MCF is thankful for the unwavering assistance rendered by Myanmar Chess Federation led by its President - Maung Maung Lwin, to clear all immigration and medical matters to bring Peter home.
MCF also take note of the financial toll experienced by the Myanmar Chess Federation, and the family of the late IA/FT Peter Long, and MCF hereby appeals from the Malaysian Chess Community who wishes to contribute, to channel your contribution to our MCF Accounts at PERSEKUTUAN CATUR MALAYSIA (CIMB 8000649725) and marked the contribution "For Peter". All contributions need to be channeled to our MCF accounts before the 13th of April for it to be given to the Myanmar Chess Federation and the family of the late IA/FT Peter Long to ease their financial burden.
