Points

Have you gone to your home page and wondered what the points mean? I have, but I remembered that my friend told me something to do with blogs or some thing, if I am wrong please tell me in the comment section. And one more thing... WHAT DO THEY EVEN DO??? Is there actually a purpose, are they for showing or are they for making yourself feel good? Once again tell me in the comment section.
