Esipenko Beats Carlsen!
And that was it Carlsen Resigns! This amazing game took place at the Tata Steel Masters. 18 year old, Andrey Esipenko beat Carlsen. So as we see here ( I am not great at commentary but you know...) Magnus plays Sicilian Defense: Scheveningen, Classical Variation. On move 8. g4 you see that Esipenko is a pretty aggressive player. This move looks bad but is actually good because it starts attacking the king side. At around move 12 we see that Esipenko is very developed and is ready for Carlsen to castle so he can form an attack. On move 14 Esipenko just looks very strong in his position while Carlsen is not very developed on the Queen-side. We also see that Carlsen moved his Queen back after a few moves. Then the best move of the game happened 17. Ncxb5 😲😲😲!!! This move could only be found by real Grandmasters and in a video it showed that Carlsen really didn't like. The trap was very beautiful and with just this move Esipenko deserves a win. The game went pretty evenly after that but the advantage was just Esipenko's.
Thank You for reading, Hope Y'all have a good day!
