The October report was written by @dpnorman.

The Untitled Tuesday for the month of October had a rare guest: me. Without delving too deeply into my performance at the expense of the rest of the tournament, it was a fabulous start and a very frustrating finish from my end. I started 5/5, which was a real shock to me, but in the end things would work themselves out into a so-so finish for someone of my rating. Ultimately, scacchista89, the highest-rated player entering the event, took home the first place after engine use revelations disqualified the original first-place finisher.

Along the way to that start I had an incredibly lucky win in the first round followed by a few wins that gave me a lot more reason to be proud of myself. Just to get it out of my system, here are two of them that I was most happy with.

Two rounds later, I faced off against Yourinsuil1991, who has been a very successful competitor in many an Untitled Tuesday. The opening went wonderfully for me and it was the sort of game that I felt I had played a hundred times before, as many, many blitz games I've played in this line of the London/KID have gone similarly to this one.
