Songs To Play Chess To
I find I play better chess with the correct music. For me, the music is either extremely calm and melodic, or very agressive but pleasant to listen to. Here's my list, and I welcome additions:
Peaceful:Pachelbel's Canon in D, Fire and Rain, Babe, Seven Years in Tibet, Easy, The Blues.
Agressive: 115, The Kill, Not Ready to Die, I Will Not Bow, Lights Out.
I also find that my play often reflects the music, with the soothing music resulting in a hard-fought, positional, defensive game, like Ulf Andersson, and the aggressive music resulting in sacrificial, attacking, Paul Morphyesque play. Not saying I'm as good as them, but the play style matches.
