If you read my last poem then you will understand balance. Yes my last poem is very very long, alot of fun but also very long. The idea behind this was simply to set the setting and enjoy the journey of reading and listening to the music. For playing chess and listening to music is a great way of enjoying the game. Also a great way to enjoy the music or song. However playing too much chess maybe fun but you will find that when one does too much of something there is a downward decline. There is a great saying and I am sure everyone has heard of this.

"Everything in moderation".

As long as you are aware of what you are doing then you can moderate everything. Creating a balance will harmonise your innerself, creating a calm composure and a balanced state of mind.

An effective way of doing this is simply through meditation.

Through meditation you will find a balance naturally as you give attention to your subconscious mind. If you find you are getting overwhelmed, take some time out to meditate. Anything from 2 minutes plus is very beneficial to your mind and your rewards will be many to enhance composure, clarity and calmness. Like the body needs nutrition, mediation is the nutrition for the mind.Stillness of the mind brings clarity and calmness.  Your subconscious mind is brought to the surface and through meditation your mind can work everything out. The answers lie within you, and to unlock the key 🔑 to your mind is simply through meditation.

So the next question is.....

Does one find balance and then meditate.....

or does one meditate then find balance......

Well the answer is meditating first to find a balance.  When you meditate your mind may go back and forth to different things that have happened, perhaps something in the past or something that is troubling you. It can be many many things. You will only know what it is through meditating, once you know , you can say out aloud,

"I allow my subconscious mind to sort this out", and guess what that's exactly what will happen. That's how powerful meditation actually is. Try it out for yourself, however meditation is not a quick fix overnight, it takes times and several weeks to establish a good routine and takes time to settle into this new way of practice. But if you continue the rewards are many , and you will certainly find more clarity in your life bringing immense inner peace and balance.

If you are struggling in chess, and tend to play chess either too much , or for long periods of time and you find that you are constantly on a losing streak ,then you need to stop and evaluate your situation. Try and meditate on this and see what comes to the surface. Some people that I have spoken to actually said that they felt so good in their mediation sessions that they actually ended up falling asleep. Now that's another way of your body telling you that you need more sleep,  or you are actually quite exhausted. Whatever the reasons see what your body is telling you.

If you are going to meditate then it's much better to do this on an empty stomach and when you have some time for yourself. Find a quite place, sit comfortably and see if you can switch off for a minimum of 2 minutes first and then increase the time. Some people meditate for an hour , its totally up to you what you like , but actually 23 minutes is perfect.

Why don't you find your sanctuary through meditation, and then use it to create a balance in your life and bring inner peace and clarity to your goals, aspirations and ambitions.

Use meditation to excel in areas that you want to improve.  If you are interested to read further then below I have some references on books to read 📚.
