The Long and Winding Road

Just when you think things are going right , there is a twist and turn , and the same applies to a chess game. You may have planned for all your moves to work out accordingly , but just as you thought that something changes and so your whole equilibrium of your current game has gone gone out of balance. Nothing is straightforward in chess , even the simplest of move orders can change if your opponent does the slightest change or odd move. But that is chess , and many must have thought  "Why do I play chess?" Nothing is simple in chess.

So why do so many people play chess, simply because they enjoy the game and want to accelerate in their chess ratings. Others play for fun. Nothing is simple in life either , it can be simple if one chooses a simple path. We all have choices and the choices we make shape our lives. We also have a choice as to what move we can make in our games. In chess the right choice is a careful selection of studying the better moves. If one spends the time studying then I am sure the correct choice can be applied. In life a straightforward path would be probably a bit boring , but in chess a straightforward path to your winning combo might be more fun to play. 

However whether it is chess or life , enjoying the journey is very important. If we do not enjoy the journey then it's no fun at all and will become stressful. So whatever you do in chess , enjoy the journey , whether it is playing chess,  studying or reading , just enjoy the time you spend.
