Christmas awards in Chess.com
Hello everyone!
I'm glad to inform you that you can get 5 free awards in Chess.com. All you need to do is to go on Play - Computer (if you're playing on PC) or New Game - vs Computer (if you're playing on mobile app). There you'll find 5 'HOLIDAY' bots. In order to get the achievements, you need to win against all the 5 bots.
First bot is Powder the Snowman, and his rating is 700. Powder is the youngest member of the North Pole Chess Club. He stayed in the sun for too long and lost some rating points. Try to beat him before he melts!
After defeating Powder in a game of chess, you'll get the 'Precious Snowflake' award.
Next bot is called Eve the Elf, and her rating is 900. Eve has been trying some new openings, so she lost some rating points since last year. Can you get an advantage against her offbeat openings?
After defeating Eve in a game of chess, you'll get the 'Nutcracker' award.
The third bot is Santa. Yes, the Mr. Santa Claus (and yes, he really exist). He also plays chess, and his rating is 1200, which is not bad for a granpa... Santa is busy all year long but always finds time for a game of chess! He is used to losing games to his wife, Holly, but he has picked up some new tricks along the way.
After defeating the Santa in a game of chess, you'll get the 'Full Stocking' award.
The fourth bot is Dash the reindeer, and his rating is 1500. Santa’s most powerful reindeer is an avid chess player and the vice president of the North Pole Chess Club. His aggressive style has lost him some rating points from last year, but he is still a dangerous opponent!
After defeating Dash the reindeer in a game of chess, you'll get the 'Jingle Bell' award.
The fifth and the last bot is Holly, the Mrs. Claus, and her rating is 2100. Mrs. Claus has gone undefeated all year at the North Pole Chess Club! She is on her way to earning the master title. Can you stop her?
After defeating Mrs. Claus in a game of chess, you'll get the 'Holly Berry' award.
After you choose the bot you want to play against, you can choose the difficulty mode, Assisted (with all the tools available), Friendly (with 3 takebacks and 3 hints allowed), Challenge (with no help of any kind) o Custom (with the settings you prefer).
No matter what difficulty mode you choose, you'll get the achievements if you beat the bots.
