You MUST not allow your opponet to get a massive pawn center.

With such a massive pawn center you have to be prepared. Your opponet will try everything reasonable in his or her power to break it up like in the game below where White missed a few tricky tactics which took the center away and gave white a static weakness of 3 isolated pawns in the endgame.
