Gala Night, 241Awards 2025 Edition!
Greetings, dear community! In this last article of the year, we will explore our positions in the match and chessvote rankings, the highlights of the year, the presentation of the "241Awards" and festive greetings to all our members.
During 2025, our club has experienced sustained growth being once again the club with the most regular live events 270, between Arenas, Multiclubs and Live Matches, Daily Matches 85 y Chessvotes 182 ; the club that awards more than 2000 awards and recognitions to its members; and the most creative and best organized club.
The 241 stands out for marking Season, Rest and Preseason times; This year we have added Friends Month (July) and Gamer Month (August) to the classics of Halloween (lasts all of October) and Christmas (lasts two months, from November to January), if it were up to us Christmas would be all year round.
To date we are +1500 members from all countries and regions of the world (241), passionate about chess and committed to the competitive and friendly spirit of the Global Citizens Club (241).
Club Positions in the Rankings
In Matches (Correspondence Chess - Daily), we are currently in position #532 with 63.5% of games won.
In Chessvotes, we are in position #80 with 85% of games won.
Member Awards and Recognitions during 2025
We have awarded 1476 awards and prizes, 62 "Great Show" (club nominations), 50 "Heart of Lion" (awarded to players who have shown their competitive spirit in the club events), 8 "Weight of the World" (awarded to members with a full passport), 900 medals (in podium of live events), 350 badges (awarded to participative players), 11 "The art of chess" (awarded to members with completed chess.com Profile Books(33)) and 95 "Let's Celebrate" for the "241Awards" (2025)
Thanks to chess.com, we have reduced the number of awards given because they made changes and blocked access to the member and friends database, hindering delivery, and also blocked the sending of badges. We also deeply regret the removal of Chess Variants from Live Arenas.
Not counted: more than 1000 trophies awarded for: "Happy Easter," "Dance Steps," "Merry Christmas!", "Have a great new year!", etc. Medals and badges: 1000; we estimate a total of around 2000 awards, recognitions, and trophies.
The “241Awards” of the Year 2025 (95)
This year, 241 has increased its number of talents and new streamer members. The 241Awards are exclusive recognitions for members of the Global Citizens Club(241)
I am pleased to announce the launch of a new special category to recognize members who, in addition to their passion for the game and friendship, have significantly supported the growth and sustainability of our club through voluntary contributions.
The funds raised through this voluntary contribution program are intended to enhance the experience for all members and can be used for community service, training resources, tournament prizes, and other expenses the club..
For the 2026 Edition, we will have "241Awards" to recognize the following 5 levels of "Donor Sponsors":
"Masters": contribute their time and effort, work.
"Premiums": contribute financially.
Bronze: Suggested donation: $5 - $99 USD/year.
Silver: Suggested donation: $100 - $499 USD/year.
Gold: Suggested donation: $500 - $999 USD/year.
"Megas": contribute financially or in kind. Suggested donation: $1,000+ USD/year.
The nominations for the 2026 Edition will be: "Master Donor Sponsor",
"Premium Donor Sponsor" (Bronze or Silver or Gold) and "Mega Donor Sponsor".
